At Mikra Faux, we have been providing high-quality murals and faux painting services to the local community for over 10 years. Our team is made up of skilled artisans who take pride in their work and are passionate about creating beautiful, unique finishes for our clients.
A Practice Led by Artists and Artisans
Our studio is composed of artists and artisans trained to think in layers—both visually and conceptually. This allows us to move beyond off-the-shelf finishes and generic solutions, creating work that is bespoke, unrepeatable, and site-responsive.
Each project begins with understanding the space: its architecture, lighting conditions, material palette, and the intent of the designer or client. From there, we develop custom pigment blends, textures, and mark-making systems tailored specifically to the project. No two surfaces are replicated. Each is authored.
Our Process
At Mikra Faux, we work closely with our clients to understand their vision and bring it to life. We provide detailed proposals and mockups to ensure that every detail is perfect before we begin the project.
Surface Composition and Visual Flow
Central to our practice is what we refer to as mark-making logic—the deliberate orchestration of gestures, transitions, and visual weight across a surface. This logic governs where textures intensify or recede, how gradients breathe, and how transparencies interact with natural and artificial light.
The result is a surface that evolves throughout the day, responding subtly to its surroundings rather than overpowering them. Our murals and finishes are designed to support the architecture, not compete with it.

MIKRA is not positioned as a supplier, but as a design collaborator. We work closely with interior designers, architects, and clients throughout the process, contributing ideas, refinements, and technical insight to achieve a cohesive outcome.
